Kisoboka Africa is a non-profit organization that aims to empower children in rural Uganda with financial literacy and life skills. Through the Young Savers Clubs program, We partner with local schools to teach children how to save, budget, and invest their money, as well as how to acquire vital skills for their future.
One of the skills that Kisoboka Africa offers to children is baking. Baking is not only a fun and creative activity, but also a potential source of income and entrepreneurship. In June 2023, Kisoboka Africa conducted baking lessons for two of their Young Savers Clubs: Hope Bulemere Primary School and Namulanda Primary School.

The children were eager to learn how to bake different products, such as cakes, cookies, and bread. They were taught by experienced trainers who guided them through the process of measuring, mixing, kneading, shaping, and baking. The children also learned about hygiene, safety, and quality standards in baking.
At the end of the training, the children were proud to showcase their products and share them with their peers and teachers. They also learned how to price and market their products, as well as how to keep records of their sales and expenses. The children expressed their gratitude to Kisoboka Africa for giving them this opportunity to learn a new skill and have fun at the same time.

Kisoboka Africa believes that by equipping children with financial literacy and life skills, they are preparing them for a prosperous future. They hope to inspire more children to join their Young Savers Clubs and benefit from their programs. They also hope to expand their reach and impact more communities in Uganda.
